  • Desktop License – Intended for using fonts in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and similar programs.

    • Suitable for graphic designers, branding, logos, presentations, print materials, and more.
    • If you want to use the font in graphic design or a printed document – this is the license for you.
  • Web License – Intended for embedding the font on a website using @font-face or WOFF/WOFF2 files.

    • Suitable for web designers and anyone who wants to use the font as part of a website.
    • If you need the font to display as live text on a website (not as an image) – choose the Web License.

Which License Should You Choose?

  • If you design posts, logos, documents, or print materials – you need a Desktop License.
  • If you are building a website and want the font to display dynamically – you need a Web License.
  • If you need the font for both graphic design and a website – you need both licenses.
  • Simply add the "+" sign "+" after the letter to activate the alternative characters.
  • Works in all Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Also supported inCanva and in Office (except PowerPoint).

In the Silhouette Studio Business Edition there is built-in support for OpenType fonts, which provides easier access to bonus letters, ligatures, and special characters without needing to copy from the character map.

Steps for using bonus letters and ligatures:

  1. Installing the font

    • Make sure the font is installed on your computer in OTF (OpenType) format.
    • Close and reopen Silhouette Studio so the software recognizes the new font.
  2. Opening the text tool and typing letters

    • Select the Text Tool and click in the document.
    • Type the desired text and select the font from the list in the top toolbar.
  3. Using bonus letters and ligatures via the Glyphs Panel

    • In the Business Edition, you have access to the advanced character panel:
    • Select the text you typed.
    • Click on Text Style Panel (on the right side, icon with the letters "Aa").
    • Look for the Glyphs to open all the special characters available in the font.
    • Click on the alternative letter or ligature you want to use, and it will replace the regular letter in the text.
  4. Using bonus letters with the Character Map (if no Glyphs Panel)

    • If for any reason the fonts don't show all characters in the Glyphs Panel, you can use Character Map (Windows) or Font Book (Mac):Character Map (Windows) או Font Book (Mac):
      • Open Character Map (Windows) or Font Book (Mac).
      • Find the alternative characters of the font, copy them, and paste into Silhouette Studio.
  5. Converting text to shapes before cutting (optional)

    • To avoid cutting issues, it is recommended to convert the text to vector shapes:
    • Select the text and click Right Click > Convert to Path.
    • After conversion, the letters will become graphic objects that can be edited and connected before cutting.

Can I preview the font before purchasing?
Yes! You can preview the font on every product page and type your own text to test it.

I didn't receive the file after purchasing - what should I do?
Check if the email is in your "Spam" or "Promotions" folder. If you still haven't received the file, contact us and we'll resend it.

Can I get a refund if the font doesn't suit me?
Digital files cannot be returned after download, but we're here to help you choose the right font before purchasing.

  • Please send a request via the Contact page with details about the purpose of use and the academic context.
  • Each request is reviewed individually, and we'll be happy to assist accordingly.
  • Yes, students enjoy a 15% discount on font purchases.
  • The discount is provided upon presentation of a valid student ID.
  • To receive the discount, please send an email to service@liafonts.com with a photo of your student ID.
  • After purchasing, you will receive a ZIP file containing the font in OTF/TTF format.
  • On Windows – right-click the file and select "Install".
  • On Mac – open the file and click "Install Font".
  • On Canva – uploading the font is only available in Canva Pro via Brand Kit
  • Open Canva Pro (This option is available only for Pro subscribers).
  • Go toBrand Kit from the main menu.
  • Scroll down to the Uploaded Fonts and click on Upload a font.
  • Select the font file in OTF או TTF format and upload it.
  • Confirm Canva's terms for using custom fonts.
  • After uploading, the font will appear in the list of available fonts in the Canva editor.

If there is an issue during upload, make sure the file is not compressed (ZIP) and is in OTF or TTF format.

No, there is no domain limit. You can use the font on any number of websites you own.

Use the font in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity Designer, and similar programs.

  • Create logos, branding, advertisements, product packaging, posters, business cards, social media posts, and more.
  • Use the font in digital projects such as presentations, video content, and non-interactive Reels/Stories (not websites).
  • Use the font for printing products such as t-shirts, postcards, books, brochures, and printed publications.
  • The font may be installed for use on up to 5 computers belonging to the license purchaser.

 

What's not included?

  • Embedding the font on a website (a Web License is required for this).
  • Using the font in applications, software, games, or on-demand products - a special license is required.
  • Sharing the font with third parties or clients - each user must have their own license.

  • If you are using Adobe software, sometimes you need to restart the computer for the fonts to be recognized.
